Travis Campbell grew up in Clinton, Iowa, where at an early age his interest in urbanism was piqued by the Louis Sullivan-designed downtown department store.  While completing the architecture program at Iowa State University, Travis examined the history of that building, along with its planned renovation into housing.  Travis then furthered his education obtaining a Master’s degree in City Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in land development and real estate.  Travis is a Licensed Architect and Certified Planner, presently working in a multidisciplinary redevelopment firm located in downtown Newark, New Jersey.

Travis focuses his professional work on developing feasible strategies for the rehabilitation of the urban landscape.  Through his planning methodology, Travis emphasizes sustainable principles implemented to connect community, infrastructure, and environment.  Travis’ past work experience includes the management of architectural design for retail stores throughout the country.  Travis also served as the project coordinator for the Belmar Seaport Town-Center Redevelopment Plan, which consists of over 3 million square feet of mixed-use, transit-oriented development.  Travis is currently the development manager of an adaptive reuse loft conversion of a factory in downtown Newark.  In his spare time, Travis is Chair of his Cooperative's Building Improvement Committee.
